Description:
The story is set on Earth, at around the year 2040 AD. Technology has evolved greatly over the past generations, with advances in Space travel, genetics and robotics. For over twenty years Man has been developing a new breed of war machine, known simply as 'Titans'. Although preliminary designs were crude and inefficient the discovery of an artifact, known as the 'Nexus' enabled scientists to discover new ways to make them more lifelike in their movements and combat ability. However the discovery of the Nexus also created a major rift in the dimensional fabric of space, leading to the discovery of a new world that seemed to be similar to earth.
The only difference between the two worlds was one revolved in Man's effort to better himself in Science, while the other was populated by creatures that were once believed to exist only in myths, legends and the overactive imagination of the human mind. At this the Governmental Alliance, which was effectively one city-state covered up the discovery of the portal as well as send operatives to 'liberate' the planet from creatures they called the Hellion - beings that resemble what Humans refer to as demons, devils or monsters. Creatures of scale and wing and insatiable hunger that laid waste to that parallel world. --excerpt

Children of Eternity is a mixture of sci-fi and fantasy elements set in a world on the verge of apocalypse, where advancement in technology had somehow answered the question "What is these creatures existed?". It's not an answer that's easy to swallow, as earth and that other world was linked, letting in creatures that perhaps even technology couldn't explain away, not even by those who play god. It touches on everything from human in a futuristic setting, dealing with a corrupt government, to creatures that try to live in that world alongside them. It also touches on the beginning of the end, set about by too much knowledge.
