Ok, I'm a college attending Mom of three boys, two with Autism and one who is 4 months old. So needless to say, my life is hectic lol. I still, however, find time to enjoy the fun of role playing online and I am re-opening a SL of mine after a lot of plotting with a friend of mine. Unfortunately, I have to battle two inevitable problems when it comes to recruiting.
1. I use AOL - which has suddenly seemed to have become the birth and death place of many RPGs and the hang out of Smut Rpers. So, I open a room and sit in it to recruit - I get smut rpers IMing me left and right (some I swear are the same person but on a different sn) and lets just say my block list is getting pretty long lol.
2. I do have a family to take of and homework to do in order to be successful in school. So sometimes I can't role play in a room or answer questions while attempting to recruit for my SL. Especially with me having to rush uafk several times because I am needed. Thankfully, I am friends with many who understand my flightiness and they stick it out with me
So I've started opening a recruiting room and putting up the AM that contains a little blurb about the SL in it and for someone to Email me if interested. I even have this same blurb in a profile if they click on "buddy info" and scope out the lifestream stuff that AOL has going on. My question then, is if I ever got a "nibble" and someone emailed me asking me for more information, what would you, as a role player, like to see in said email other than a link to the boards?
I was contemplating putting my little blurb in it, but they've already read that obviously. Just an outline of an email I could send would be helpful.
