The world of Aexion is large and complex. In 3012 the world was thrown in peril by the Third World War. In less than three weeks nearly every area of land on Earth was contaminated by nuclear radiation. World War III was ended in 3033 when there wasn't a government left on earth that still had the knowledge or will to fight with nuclear weapons. It wasn't until 3230, almost 200 years later, that the remaining humans began crawling out from their safe havens and started forming civilizations. Or, rather, types of villages and towns.
In 3240, the first New Age Government was created: The Taen Empire. The Taen Empire was forged by the sweat and blood of Drakus Markov, the first and currently only Emperor of Taen. At first the people felt secure and safer than everything had been before the empire, but it didn't take long before Markov's true colors showed. Suddenly there were soldiers in every village, razing towns and killing everyone who stood in their way.
As the world began to climb back to its feet, certain things could never go back to how it was. The first is that the people no longer considered the planet as Earth. The name Aexion began as a rumor but slowly spread as the world citizens adapted that as their new world. After all, there would need to be a new name for a new world. Because of the radiation, most, if not all citizens gained abilities. All normal species had the genes restructured and destroyed, turning life as was known into something different. Elves and dwarves became a reality. Dragon like creatures fly threw the sky and breathe fire on their prey. Earth was no longer the grounded, realistic world that legends say it is.
In fact, Earth no longer exists. Aexion does.
