-Overview-
The Coliseum is a roleplay that takes place within a vast, self-contained artificial environment constructed by mysterious, enigmatic beings called 'the Overseers'. Having been abducted from modern-day earth, characters awaken inside the Coliseum to discover that they have been injected with the Special Enhancement Serum, which promotes the development of seemingly superhuman abilities. Left only with the knowledge that they are expected to compete against others for precious resources and the favor of their unseen controllers, characters must struggle to control both against the environment and the unstable powers granted to them by the Overseers.

The Coliseum is something I've been putting together for a few months now (as evidenced by the posting date on a lot of the topics on the forum), and I finally feel as if I'm ready to start inducting players into it. I'm an experienced roleplayer who has been activity in a variety of different projects over the last six years or so, ranging from roll20 campaigns to other forum roleplays. My writing standards are quite high, and I expect new players to be able to write reasonably detailed and realistic character biographies before being approved to play. I am a strong proponent of player choice, and encourage players to cooperate with each other in order to create richer and more engaging stories than would otherwise be possible.
