It is the thirty-seventh year of the Dragon Age and Thedas stands on the precipice of war and violent change. After the events which transpired in Kirkwall, all of Thedas stands on high alert.
The Templars are preparing for what they see as the inevitable: an all out war with their mage charges. Likewise, the mages fear the wrath of their heavy-handed captors can be stayed no longer.
Under these conditions, the Chantry suffers from infighting and the constant pressures of secular politics. The current Divine, a strong-willed young woman, sees the mages as a repressed group of individuals with legitimate concerns and complaints. This unpopular view has earned her more than a few enemies and a surprisingly small number of friends.
Yet, despite these global concerns, the games of society and politics continue on a smaller scale.
Ferelden is bracing for a reckoning that has been ten years in the making. The lands lying between Ostagar and the Brecilian Forest have been gifted to the Dalish elves as a boon for their aid against the Blight ten years ago while the Ferelden Circle of Magi was granted autonomy for the same service. Naturally, these two events weren't looked upon with much enthusiasm by many individuals in power...
Meanwhile, the King of the Anderfells suffers from failing health and his only known successor is a Grey Warden. The common people have already begun calling for the Wardens to intervene and take over for the King upon his death, but the aristocracy has other ideas...
However, aside from all of these problems, a greater evil lurks in the shadows. It's purposes and wishes are unknown, but the effects of its actions have been unknowingly felt far and wide for decades, perhaps even centuries.
Times are changing and no one knows whether they will change for the better. We must all choose our friends wisely, but more importantly, we must pay even closer attention to who our enemies might be...

Fortress of Glass is a turn based roleplay site staged in the Dragon Age universe as created by Bioware set after the final events of Dragon Age 2 and just before the events described in Asunder as written by David Gaider.
We're a friendly group of people and the site itself is mostly laid back. Our rules are simple and to the point, and we staff try to be as visible and helpful as possible.
The site itself is only for those eighteen years of age or older, though. This due to our lack of filtering when it comes to language and violence. Also, we do allow very minor instances of sexual content, but we do try to keep this to the bare minimum and we do employ a warning system.
Furthermore, previous knowledge of the Dragon Age franchise is not a prerequisite, but it is advisable.
Regardless of your foreknowledge of the games or books, we do try to explain everything in detail and we love answering questions, really. So if you're having a problem or something doesn't make sense, then please feel free to ask a staff member about it! That's what we're there for, after all.
So please, do stop by and check the place out. Talk to some people and play around with the site and if you decide that FOG is the place for you, then welcome aboard!
