Ever thought about creating your character in the Elder Scrolls universe? Want to write collaborative stories with other writers and their characters? Well, do I have a fun advertisement for you!
It's the mod team from /r/TESRP here to post a little bit about our subreddit. TESRP is a brand new Elder Scrolls roleplaying subreddit set 30 years after the events of Skyrim! We have story events already planned out and a fully fleshed-out timeline covering nearly every province of Tamriel.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I start?
To start, please read this thread! It will give you information on our setting and how to create a character!
What's the time period of the subreddit?
TESRP takes place in 4E 230. Everything that happened in TES V considered to be canon, however for the sake of the story the Imperials won the Skyrim Civil War. The Empire has returned to power from the humiliation from the Great War and is ready to go on the offensive against the Aldmeri Dominion for the Second Great War.
Where is the Last Dragonborn?
When creating the subreddit, we felt that it would not be appropriate to include the Last Dragonborn in the story. For the sake of the plot, the Last Dragonborn has been rumoured to leave Tamriel and travel to Atmora, never to be seen again.
Plot? What’s Happening?
The main plot threads that are taking place as of right now is the beginning of the Second Great War between the Aldmeri Dominion and the Empire. However, if that’s not your cup of tea there are minor plots happening in Morrowind with the Penitus Oculatus, Dunmer, and Argonians and a plot involving the Orcs and Redguards in the Dragontail Mountains of Hammerfell.
Can I be any race?
In simple terms, if the race is playable in the main games, then yes! If you want to see a list of those races they can be found [here](https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Races) on UESP.
Can my character be affiliated with a Daedra Lord?
Yes, but do keep in mind that among most societies of men have a stigma against Daedra worship. However, races such as Orcs almost solely worship a Daedra Lord so this doesn’t apply in all cases.
I know nothing about The Elder Scrolls, can I still join?
Absolutely! An in depth knowledge of TES is not required at all to join though it may be helpful on some fronts. We are happy to fill in any gaps in knowledge that new people may have that is essential to the subreddit!
