Where Legends are Born
Federation Space, or FedSpace in it's abbreviated form, is a Forum-based Star Trek RP that has been active for 15 years this March, and we continuing to go strong. We also have almost 100 talented players and writers. However, we're all welcome to new players that wish to join our vibrant community.
First, I would recommend taking a look at our main posting boards located here. As you'll see we try to keep a standardize posting format to make it easier on the player to understand and reply to one post, as we have a great number of people from around the world. It's our idea that this process helps in developing the stories played out by our crews, which gets added into our extensive history.
Now for the basis of the RP itself. We're set 40 years after the end of the Dominion War. This allows us to have more creative freedom with our fictional realm. The Federation, and the entire Alpha Quadrant, have just went up against a new threat, The Krynar Confederation. Their first appearance struck a mighty blow by destroying Bajor. Our 3rd fleet was devastated and the Federation is now rebuilding, but there's signs of another threat around the corner with the assassination of Federation President Selin Prenn. Will his successor be able to stabilize the Federation?
What you may be asking is how do you join this long standing RP? Our application process is quick and pain free, but our extremely devilish GM-13 might tell you otherwise. First, you'll want to decide which Department you'll want to have your character be apart of: Tactical, Engineering, Security, Science, or Medical. I recommend picking out your Top 3 picks, as it allows us, and by extent you, to be more flexible with your character. However, you'll still get the deciding factor in the finalization of your Department. You will then want to fill out our Application Form. If you have any issues with the form, or just don't plain like Google, have no fear. You can send your application through email as well. Just send your email to taylor@fed-space.com, halpert@fed-space.com, and carranza@fed-space.com with the subject line "Federation Space Application" along with your top 3 department choices and character name.
Your account will be created and you'll report to our Academy. Here we have BIO evaluators on hand to assist you with the initial creation of your BIO. After completion of your BIO, you'll be given some training in how things work on FedSpace such as formatting, ranks, rules, etc. However, if you've had role-playing experience you're welcome to request our opt-out exam to get posting with your fellow players sooner.
