The Dominion
A ruthless and dictactorial empire, rose up under the leadership of a once persecuted, and then scarred Jadel named Kradus. He organized the Dominion, and was the ruler of the majority of races under the Dominion. Seeking power, he attacked any empires that denied his leadership. This was a mistake that would result in the downfall of the Dominion, and the death of himself.
The Jorro'kil Free Absolute, a vast empire emerging from the third arm of Ravena, the galaxy which Ruthless Galaxy mainly takes place in, were originally created by an advanced civilization known as the Intragalactic Krathunian Covenant of Sethega, as part of a scientific experiment. At the apex of the Covenant's glory, when the Jorro'kil began to conquer those around them, the Krathunians were brought down by the Dominion. They fled, seeking asylum in uncharted areas of the galaxy. In other parts of Ravena, new empires were advancing as well, each becoming more powerful in their own ways.
The Jorro'kil eventually met the Dominion, which sparked a massive war between them, and the Dominion's chief race, a parasitic life form known as the Karthla. Eventually, on a world known as Skorge, a powerful blue Orb, a ball of stabilized, infinite energy, was discovered. Kradus believed that this orb could grant him immortality, and sought out its power. The JFA (Jorro'kil Free Absolute) had been able to gain new allies, and this conglomerate of civilizations eventually organized themselves into the Third Arm Confederacy. The leader of the Dranzoot, one of the races within this, had a vision of the orb and what Kradus could accomplish with it. Acknowledging this, the leaders of the TAC agreed to assemble a team of Zealots, noble warriors ready to fight to prevent the Orb from falling into Dominion hands. They found the orb, and defeated Kradus who also was there, taking the orb back with them.
Eventually, after many events, another Orb, this one red, granted the user invisibility. They retrieved this one as well, angering Kradus much. The TAC eventually broke up, and the Jorro'kil, upon encountering the United Ryun-Wreae Federation of the Ieegan Systems, and the Forlarm, formed a new alliance, this one known simply as the Confederacy. These events led to Kradus's final battle, and death, at the hands of JFA Emperor Whoster. This victory did not last long, as the Emperor was in turn assassinated by a Karthla Major. His death was avenged by Confederate soldiers. However, an empire composed of machines, the United Fleets of Independent Artifical Intelligences, or UFIAI for short, wanted the orbs to provide infinite energy for them, among other reasons, and promptly declared war on the Confederacy, attacking them on the same battleground on which Kradus had been killed. The forces of the Confederacy won the ensuing battle, though a new war had been sparked.
The Krathunians, aware of the Dominion's fall, finally encountered the Jorro'kil after reclaiming their old worlds, and allied with their creations under the Confederacy. The war against the UFIAI continues in the current story, with new empires being discovered on both sides.
